Mozart Missa Brevis in F Major

Bach's 325th. Birthday
        Concert

On March 21st, organ virtuoso
William James Ross reconstructed
the all-Bach recital played by Felix
Mendelssohn at the St. Thomas
Church in Leipzig, Germany, in
1840.  Mendelssohn's purpose in
playing this stupendous program
was to raise money for the first
monument to J.S. Bach in Leip-
zig.  It also served to revive inte-
rest in the music of one of the
greatest composers in Western
music.
See and hear Bill's artistry now.
The YouTube link below his
picture takes you directly to
his opening work, from where
you can access evey piece on
his program.

But oh! what art can teach,
What human voice can reach
The sacred organ's praise?
Notes inspiring holy love,
Notes that wing their heav'nly ways
To mend the choirs above!
                     - John Dryden
